What We Do
We want all parents to have what they need to help their child with Down syndrome reach their full potential. We provide support and education through parent meetings, guest speakers, reading materials, and more.
In an effort to stay informed about programs, services, and current events concerning Down syndrome, we have relationships with local and national organizations such as Special Olympics NB, New Brunswick Association of Community Living, Canadian Down Syndrome Society, and Opal Family Services.
We want everyone to know that people with Down syndrome have wonderful talents and potential just like everyone else! FADSS is passionate about promoting understanding and supportive environments. Part of this effort is through presentations at local schools universities and community groups. Also, we do an annual yard sale fundraiser, usually in Late May/Early June. Our group does events for World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st) and National Down Syndrome Awareness Week (late Oct/Early Nov)
